Just a side note: I have now seen more spiders randomly pop up in my life than ever before. Mr. Spider is seeking revenge.
“Its not that I don’t follow the rules… It’s just that I don’t pay attention to them.” Dawn Donson
Maybe this is what life is about? I mean---- we are called to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey everything He commanded us, and that is our purpose. But… gosh, maybe the in-between moments are what life is all about? Maybe it’s about watching Dawn walk Lucie with her arm extended and laughing as Lucie tries to run ahead. She looked really carefree that day, with the sun in her face and wind in her hair. But that’s Dawn for you :). Or maybe it’s scheming with Josh as we set up timers all over the kitchen and wait for chaos to ensue… And humming the same songs every day, but it’s fun to do while we wash dishes. Maybe it's about watching Gary race around the store, always on his toes with a coke bottle in his hand. Then to periodically watch him stop as he peers out the drive-thru window, waiting for his wife to come back simply cause he “misses her.”
I guess I am a sucker for the small moments. Walking outside and feeling so small, looking all around at how vast the sky is and considering how close the sky is. Maybe it’s hearing the John Mayer song at JUST the right time, when you feel peaceful but not depressed. It’s about driving with Shane’ with her feet on the dash and voice in tune with Colbie Cailat, feeling content as the sun warms us. Or Sam sending the perfect scripture to sooth my heart. It's about watching as time and time again God’s plan always comes through, and puts all my fretful worries to shame.
Yeah… I think these are the moments God doesn’t want us to miss.. All those small things that somehow add up to the big picture.
We are living our lives right now, ya know? We only get to do this once!!! The decisions we made last week, today, or will make tomorrow will affect how we feel when we look back in twenty years and reflect on how we’ve gotten wherever it is that we’ll be. Life does not “start” when we get married, or when we have kids... This is it right now! How I treat my family, my mom, my college career—all of that is my life! I am living right now! And… we do not get do-overs, or restarts, like my Nintendo gaming system in 1998. This is it, this is all we’ve got, live it right :)

Great point. We are to live in the present, this is something I always have to remember myself, as I see that throughout Scripture we are suppose to put grace and mercy on yesterday and let tomorrow worry about tomorrow...
